For example, in 2005, there was a survival horror mod released for Postal 2 by the name of Eternal Damnation. On top of all of this, Running With Scissors has a long history of being very close to the community around their games.
Postal Redux's existence has not at all negated the original release or support of the original release, like many remakes/remasters do. Then we come to Postal Redux, a remake of the first Postal game it was released in 2016, for both Windows and Linux, and again, is still being supported, and still receives updates. Postal 2 came out in 2003, was released for Linux in 2005, is still supported, is still receiving updates, and even had an expansion pack released in 2015. The first Postal game came out in 1997, was also released for Linux (in 2001), is still supported today, AND was open sourced in 2016. What I WOULD like to talk about, is the fact that Running With Scissors has consistently been an amazing developer, AND an amazing developer to the Linux community. Say what you will about that, I'm not here to judge that, nor is that what this thread is about. These are both some of the more minor instances of the crude and offensive humor in these games. Cops don't like you shooting people, feel free to urinate on them. For example, in Postal 2, if you have a shotgun and need a silencer, you can just pick up a stray cat and uhh.

Postal is a series known for its over the top violence and crude, offensive humor. For those unaware, Running With Scissors is the developer behind the Postal series of games. I'd also like to just take a moment and talk about Running With Scissors as devs because I think they often get overlooked. For the time being, we're hearing reports that P4 works pretty well under proton. We will for sure support Linux with a native build as we have all our past games! To be clear though - it's not just a tick of a box, many things break when exporting to Linux (we did try) and will need special consideration, and for this reason, we'll be waiting until we hit the final 1.0 release until we tackle that beast. Postal 4 currently has no Linux build so I figured I'd send them an email and ask.
Being a fan of Running With Scissors, I emailed them and asked about Linux support, seeing as how all their previous games were available for Linux (with the exception of Postal III, which isn't quite theirs, and they officially disavow it and ask you not to buy it). So, I know there's likely not much interest here but recently Postal 4: No Regerts was released on Steam and GoG as an "early access" title.
